1 stars (?) - Nintendo why have you made 7 mario party games. This is dumb ok if you want a "party" game play the first 6.........6! do you want your great great great great grand kids to be playing mario party 500 on the game triangle? they want you do buy stuff for the gamecube so that youll buy more stuff for the next consul. it is probably fun but i don't recomend 5 stars (Whatever will they think of next?) - When Mario Party 1 came out, evryone knew that Nintendo was going to take a huge leap in the world of multiplayer action. The sequel came out quickly and the game soon attracted peoples attention. But with the sports section being filled up, Mario Party was taking a bad turn. After a while, Mario Party 3 came out and the games began to fly off the shelves once more. When the Gamecube arrived, Mario Party 4 came right after it came out. 5 and 6 completely revoulutionized the gaming industry with the return of the microphone. But it would take some time before Mario Party reached the top of the gaming industry. Soon more company's started to take over Nintendo and it looked like the company would implode. Enter Mario Party 7! The best game for multiplayers {Except for Super Smash Bros. Melee! LOL.} now even more fun than you can shake a stick at! Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Wario, Waluigi, Toad, Boo, Bowser Jr, Toadette, and newcomers: Birdo and Dry Bones are all here to join in on the ultimate party of the century! But the most monumental thing is that you can have 8 people playing at once! Buy your copy today! Trust me, you won't regret it! 4 stars (The Party Returns) - The past few years have really shown that Nintendo has come a real long way with their highly acclaimed video game series for the Gamecube. Yet out of all of them, none of them has ever been as interactive as the Mario Party franchise. Since its debut for the Nintendo 64 back in 1998, it has arguably been a well-recognized institution that has still gotten better with age. The last one, Mar... 4 stars (Dance Dance Revolution: More addictive than Pac-man) - I just bought this game Yesterday evening after yearning for this for about 6 months. Better than what I percieved it to be like in other people's reviews. The story mode is pretty fun your first way through it on Easy mode and The story is pretty cool except some of it makes no sense, like there is a part when mario is jumping on a flower and some how it magically blooms and bounces mario up on top of a mountain and later in the story Mario has to go back up there and he has to jump on a flag to some how magically appear there when he could of just hopped on the friggin flower. Well anyways this game comes in a box bigger than the one the gamecube comes in so that might scare you from purchasing it in a store because you may think you have to buy a Gamecube with it but you really don't. The box is so big because the Dance Pad is fairly large. When I went to go buy this at Wal*mart the clerks thought it was a gamecube and were wondering why it was so light. LOL! The songs on this game kicks ass. There is a huge bundle of remixed mario songs, some dance songs from 3rd party groups, and atleaste one from other Nintendo games.(Original Donkey Kong Theme Remix) The "Work Out Mode" if you heard about it isn't really a mini-game were you work out. it just changes the option of your weight and tells you how much colories you've burnt throughout your plays through this game. I think the Dance pad is kind of cheap. I worry that I might break it when I wear shoes so I always wear socks or go barefoot while playing, the bottom is white and some how dirt gets attracted to it, the plasticy material that covers the top of the pad wrinkles up if you drag it and sometimes you will move out of place on the mat while your playing and really screw up. Other than those few problems I'm satisfied with my $53.00 purchase of this game and I've lost about 5 lbs so far playing it non-stop (almost). 4 stars (Fun For The Whole... Leaping Freddy is a classic arcade game where our hero Freddy is attempting to collect treasures from the Wizard's Castle by progressing through a maze of platform screens. Progression through the screens isn't always linear as one room often requires a key which is located a couple of rooms away. The screens have ladders to climb/descend, ropes to grab and descend, gaps to jump, on/off platforms to navigate via timing, rolling log platforms...... 5 stars (Batman and Robin's opinion on mario super star baseball) - Hi,it's Robin again. Batman and I thought that this game wuz awsome. It is more than baseball, characters have special powers and you can play at stadiums with obstecls. Batman will tell you about them, Hola, it is Batman again. In Mario stadium there are no obstecles. In Peach garden there are boxes in mid-air and if the ball bounces on them it will bounce. In Yoshi park there are pirhana plants that will bite. In Wario palace there are tornados and chomp chains that move the ball. In D.K. jungle there are barlles and claptraps. 5 stars (Simplistic Bliss) - While many believe that the simplictity of this game is it's downfall, I for one think that it is what makes the game so darn fun. I ussualy wasn't one to play too many baseball sims as they got too complex or tedious but this game is just right for me and all of you others like me who think baseball is kind of a slow game. All your favorite carachters are here and thensome. We have Mario, Wario, Peach etc. but we also have some obscurities like King Toadstool and Trixie Kong. Each carachter has their own specialty (other than balanced players i.e. Mario, Power players are good at hitting hard and pitching hard and fast but tend to be slow runners. Speed players tend to be good fielders and baserunners but average hitters and pitchers. Then there are technique players which as far as I can tell excell in pitching and are ok at everything else. Each player also has their own star power that when tapped into allows the player to hit or pitch with cool powers like a flame ball for Mario. That isn't the only piece of Mario flavor that finds itself in the game. Every field has it's own obstacle that is ussualy a staple in the series such as piranha plants that eat and spit out your ball. This game has the full range of modes but nothing really worth talking about. Over all this is a great great game for those of you looking for a simple fun ... 4 stars (!!!!!!!!) - Super Mario Brothers is, in my opinion, the best game ever made. Everything about it is perfect. Mario is an incredible, addictive, wonderful experience that every person in the world should have. If you have never played and/or can't get the original, BUY THIS GAME! 5 stars (Great!) - Well, I didn't actually own the game. I had a friend who got it with their Gameboy. It is SO much fun. I could sit for hours and play it! It challenging, yet fun. It is SO worth the money! 5 stars (Great for my six year old) - I have a six year old son and he has been playing his Super Mario Bros. 3 for several months now. 5 stars (Is it For Kids?) - Yes it is for kids .. and adults. THis is a great game for everyone. There is tons of fun and colorful action. The best part is it is always creative. Other companies learning to make a platformer play this game and take notes. Your games do not have the creative juices flowing through it nearly as much as the big Plumber. Bottom Line: Is it fun? One of the most fun titles on the gamecube. Will I keep it? Until I beat it. Is it for kids? You bet. 5 stars (Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) - This game is way cool! FLUDD helps you,and it has many secrets,or platform levels that you complete WITHOUT your FLUDD nozzle.I know how to beat a secret red coins level.Try not to get lost in Pinna Park episode 2 - The cannon shoots missels RIGHT AT YOU!!!!!Overall it rules!! Buy it now!!! 5 stars (My 6yr old LOVES this...me too!) - For my son's 6th birthday he received a gamecube and 5 games, this being one of them. He had very little video game experience and this and mario kart were perfect to learn on. He has discovered how much fun defeating the foes and moving up levels can be. I highly reccomend this game for first time gamers. I have had fun with it since the last time I played was around 1987 with Super Mario Brothers!! Its a great time. ... 1 stars (Classical Mechanics is a Foundation) - After using this book(or better trying to use this book) I've observed, after complementing the theory that is just trying to resemble Goldstein obviusly omiting most of the theory and proposing to fill those gaps with little examples. Exercises are poorly described maybe asuming you memorize examples, very few derivations are included most is tenth grade algebra. If you are trying to learn classical mechanics try Goldstein or Landau 5 stars (A Road to Higher Realms) - Whether knowingly or unknowingly, most of the physics text reviews that I have read may be divided into two categories: - those who loved or hated the book because it was not written to teach physics through a conceptual framework. - those who loved or hated the book because it was not written to teach physics through the development of skills. Then the reviews may be divided again into two categories: - those who loved or hated the book because it conveyed an exclusively classic and/or historical treatment of physics. - those who loved or hated the book because it conveyed a modern treatments of physics. Therefore, I will write my review within the same framework that everyone else seems to... I loved this book because it was written to teach physics through the development of SKILLS; I loved this book because it did so through a CLASSIC TREATMENT of physics. Now I will explain why... The study of physics is FAR MORE than an extraction of information from a book, the way that, say, reading an encyclopedia entry is. The study of physics, rather, is a MENTAL DISCIPLINE, that takes 10,000 hours of intensive mental effort just to become a 'fairly skilled beginner', and at least half a lifetime of intensive mental effort to become an expert in just one, very small, sub-sub-field. It is a journey in which one must tavel the same mental footsteps that the great physicists of the past did before one is ready to travel the new and original mental footsteps of... 4 stars (Book Is Great!!) - This book came fast and in awesome condition. It has helped a lot with class and I'm glad that I bought this item! 5 stars (Elementary Statistics) - Elementary Statistics with StatDisk is a very well laid out text making the introduction to new concepts easy. The text assists with Excel, TI-83 family of caluculators and gives comprehensive tips for using StatDisk. Z tables are included with the text on heavy paper stock. 4 stars (Good start in STATS) - I used the 8th edition in my intro STATS class a year ago and I loved the book. I found that he talks about the meaning of stuff and not just gives quick excel fixes like a lot of intro STAT books. He does go over how to do the problem on the TI-83 but he still goes over the formulas and how you can do with out. In my last intro stats book my department had it talked too much about excel and the calculator making students forget that this is math and not just plug in the number ... 1 stars (Filth) - My wife and I are both redheads, so we were really looking forward to reading this book. It is absolutely terrible. It is vulgar, anti Christian with no redeeming qualities. My wife could not even finish it. I read the whole thing hoping that it would get better. It did not. I sure hope that it never makes the library. 1 stars (Poorly written) - I found a number of inaccuracies in this book, causing me to wonder about the veracity of other information presented. I was at the Witch Camp mentioned in the book; the author not only had several facts wrong, she cited two different numbers for total attendance; each figure was incorrect, but I was amazed that an editor didn't catch the inconsistency of her inaccuracies. In her stretch to use "fresh" language, she sometimes completely ignored the meanings of words. While using "hair" terms, such as "braided" cleverly, the impact was dulled by redundancy. The book contains many loose ends. For instance, she has heard that witches are often red-headed and goes to witch camp to check on this - yet she never tells us how many - if any - red heads were there. On the other hand, she claims that there were a preponderance of witches named Lilith - personally, I know of only two by that name in attendance then. She claims that the Vikings were red headed. While this may be so, the more common assumption is that Vikings were blond; Eric the Red was so-called because of his unusual and therefore distinguishing coloring. Perhaps an editor could have salvaged this book; as it is, it's a carelessly written bit of nonsense. 4 stars (Currently reading . . .) - Having a blast reading this book right now. As a red head I remember the taunts and I can identify with nearly everything so far. The only thing I am curious about is the sect of wicca that does this witch camp. Although I do not practice wicca I am extrememly well versed in it and those that follow the nature based faith do not run around chanting Set... 5 stars (Amazing Collection of Photographs) - Ms. Blumenthal says she has done a world history, and a story beginning 30,000 (or so) years ago and going through 2004's best musical on Broadway, 'Avenue Q.' She covers virtually every culture in almost every time with an amazing selection of photographs. She combines this with interviews, stories and descriptions of puppeteers. She describes all of the wide variety of puppet shows brought about by the advent of television, some of which are still on the air. Part of her discussion is on the way that puppets can be used to show/discuss things that wouldn't be allowed in other ways. Politics, for instance is different when a puppet is making the remarks about your leader. And of course sex has long been a staple of puppet shows. She has a picture of the romantically challenged Miss Piggy delivering an illustrated lecture on ideal frog physique. If puppets are your thing, you'll find nothing better than this book. 5 stars (Excellent book on the history of puppets!) - This is one of those luscious, lavishly illustrated coffee-table books that doll and puppet aficionados will drool over before shelling out $65 to obtain a coveted copy. Within the 272 pages, artistic as well as historic photography of puppets dating from antiquity to modern times chronicle the history of this captivating art form. The accompanying text is scholarly, but approachable and easy to read. The history of this art form is fascinating, really. The author structures her massive effort into chapters detailing the history of puppets, types of puppets, and uses for puppets, including sex acts, illustrations for violent stories, and political commentary, as well as public service (Sesame Street), and ventures into the spirit world. I love her opening statement: "They can be gods, idiots, or worms. They are able to nurture children or terrify adults. They survive indefinitely without normal biological aging but also can die and come back to life agai... 5 stars (great!) - i played the demo at wal-mart once and it's interesting but hard! you have to be quick to get it but the poeple are soooo slow!!!! the ghosts come out of a powerup and pick on the other player if you pick it up too. 3 stars (Okay game) - This game is okay. The graphics are good and there is a variety of mini games. The replay value is moderate. If you want a great Mario sports game, then get Super Mario Strikers when it comes out. It's a Mario soccer game. I played the demo and it was really fun. Get that instead of this. 5 stars (I have advice and more stuff.) - Use a different character like mario, you just didn't hit it close enough for a offence shot, or you hitted the wrong buttons. the offensive uses A+R or just A when it is fully charged. And the shots don't need to be charged for the little trick I mentioned earlier. The lighting cup is annoying in team mode. 5 stars (It was the bom dog) - ThIs GaMe WaS tHe OnE.I love how u can get to pick out your own chracters instead of them just picking it for you. Each charecter has different stuff like if you double dash with peach and daisy they throw hearts at the other players to win , yoshi and birdo throw eggs,Ditty kong and donkey kong throw bannah peals which is realy annoying cause it slows me down exept for donkey and ditty kong and theres like so many more charecters but i hate typeing. BUY IT BUY IT BUY IT....To be truthful this is a kids game for like 16 or under otherwise if your older it may be a little to easy but i am 10 and it is so hard to beat star cup.Any ways i hope u read my other report on mario party 6.Oh another thing about this game is the charecter you pick you also get to pick a car also. And if u win one of the races u win a trophy and a new car sometimes and more places to race. 5 stars (A great addition to an excellent Nintendo library) - This is the best Mario Kart game to date. I've played everyone except the one for DS. This is probably the best racing game every too because it is stragety compared to just speed. Anybody can put the pedal to the metal but can you stay ahead when you have no advantage in speed. The best thing about this game is that you can use two characters at once. So one is driving(driver can hold an item also) and the other is throwing the items. That essentially turns the game from an 8 player game to a 16 player game. Chalk this game up on the list of Ultimate Nintendo party games. Whoever on the Nintendo staff thought that idea up should be put in the Nintendo hall of fame beside mario and donkey kong. That is pure genius. Now you can save an item that you may need instead of using it right away. The only catch is though that if you get hit by a shell, lightning, or banana, you drop all you items. That can easily be avoided by dodging shells and bananas. How you may ask. Well here is the other, less noticably addition to t... Nintendo :: GameCube :: Video Games :: :: Mario Kart- Double Dash--
4 stars (No Title) - Paper Mario number 2 is nintendo's much needed RPG. The gamecube(or nintendo) hasen't had a good role player since the first 'slim n' trim' mario game, and this is flat out fantastic. The plot isen't to surprising, Princess Peach gets kidnapped agian for the upmost time, but at least not from Bowser, from an evil army of 'surfer-dude' sounding X-nauts. Bowser is a playable character in the game, but not really an important character. The plot is that ,besides Peach being kidnapped, Mario came to the Husler filled town of Roughsport, on Peach's will, to find seven crystal stars which open the Door, supposedly is filled with treasure(but is not). He travels from all the locations on his magical map which shows where the stars are. The X-nauts are hunting for them, as well as Bowser is, and you do incouter the 'nauts numerous times. In each place the stars are, their is a party member as well as a pathitic boss fight. During your diffrent chapters, you find many intresting things, as the mafia, wrestling arenas', and the moon, also the lottery & Luwigi who is on his own mission to find Princess Eclaire in a totally origonal adventure. You also get to use the diffrent functions of paper: boat, airplane, thin, and tube. Heres an extra, to obtian the mouse theif Ms. Mowz, look for an anonamus trouble at the trouble center. And last of all, at the end of the 100 trials pit is something very speacial, I won't say what, but here a hint, it's a very speacial badge. 4 stars (A sequel...!!??) - When I first saw that a sequel to Paper Mario was being made, I could hardly contain my joy! Paper Mario had been my favorite game for years, and I always waited for news of a sequel. I got it for Christmas after it came out and I loved it. The plot, in my opinion, is great but the details confuse sometimes... The graphics were great, and I got so addicted to this one too. 4 stars (Good book but a few suggestions!) - This book is written by an expert in Statistics and most explanations are written in easy enough language for the introductory student (like me!), although I have to confess to struggling to understand some of the concepts sometimes. If you are as 'rusty' a student as me, I strongly recommend another little inexpensive paperback book as an additional aid to this one: Teach Yourself Statistics. I was also surprised that in the beginning of the book, in Chapter 2 on graphing, that the technical tips section at the end of the chapter referred you to a supplemental manual you'd have to purchase. At this price, I was especially surprised since the book is promoted as having the technology info for Excel & TI-83 included (and if graphing isn't one of the most basic concepts to learn in Introduction to Statistics, what is?). If there was no way to include the actual information in the technical tips sections- my suggestion to the author is to consider having the manual included as a 'package'. 5 stars (The Greatest !) - If you ever wanted a Stats book that was EASY to understand buy this one! I did very well in this course and I honestly learned with this book. Explanations are wonderful! The disk makes life simple. 5 stars (very good intro stats book) - I think this is a great textbook. I have been reviewing texts for an AP statistics course and have settled on this book as a middle ground between very basic texts and rigorous textbooks for math majors. It is not intended for math majors. I don't understand why reviewers are criticizing it for it not being more rigorous. It has enough depth for intro undergrad stats, yet is adaptable to lower levels so some of the boneheads I have in high school can comprehend. Excellent explanations. Very readable. Decent problem sets. I approve. ...
