PS2 Star Wars Battlefront II

4 stars (Very good for a Star Wars game) - I've got to state up front that I suffer from major Star Wars burnout -- the first movie (1977) was great, everything else has been merchandising -- so my praise for this game is not given lightly. Gameplay is smooth and dynamic, some Star Wars games we've had in the past have been really dreadfully behind the times, this feels like it's state-of-the-art. The space combat is a welcome addition. My son clued me in on new characters previously not available to be played. It looks great on the screen. Overall? For a Star Wars game, very good. For any other game, ok. It's an improvement on previous Star Wars games, but for my money I just do not want to hear Obi Wan Kenobi's voice encouraging me to trust the force or take a droidica apart or anything like that. I'm just sick of Star Wars in general. Now, my son, who's eleven, thinks this is the best game he's played since Halo 2. So go forth and figure. 5 stars (THIS IS AN AWSOME SEQUEL THE BEST STAR WARS GAME EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) - I got this game and the SW Episode 111 dvd on the same day which was the release date. Once I started playing this game I was very pleased. This is the only thing that really bothers me is the story mode because you have to complete certain objectives that got kind of annoying but besides that they still have Galactic Conquest which is awsome and so is Instant Action and you get to play as Jedi/Sith celeberties and HAn,Chewee,Jango,Baba and Lehia. This is a game I strongly recomened this game to die-hard Star Wars fans such as myself and fans of the original SW Battlefront and to some Battlefield,Halo,Unreal, fans. This game is so will worth the money!!!! 1 stars (Absolutely incredible letdown) - After a week plus with this game, my initial reaction has been confirmed time and time again - This is a true hack job, an incredible disappointment and waste of money for most consumers. The graphic interface on this game is truly atrocious - overly...

PS2 Madden NFL 2006

5 stars (Madden Excels Yet Again) - Madden has improved upon its already top-ranked video football game product in a multitude of ways to ease gameplay and improve the playing experience. The new passing cone, while tricky to master, provides a new level of strategy for experts and novices alike. I heartily reccomend this excellent time spending game and can only hope that others derive as much enjoyment from this game as I do. 4 stars (Madden just got a lot better) - Wow, I am deeply impressed with the new QB vision mode. It makes it so your QB cant roll 10 yards back and just heave a cannon to the end of the field when your on your 40. You have to lock on your vision control onto the player and then you can throw an accurate pass. The only bad thing about it is that you get rushed too soon. I think they should have the defense come in a second later because of this new change cause it takes time to look off the defenders. Another new addition is the NFL Superstar mode where you can take the life of an NFL QB, take an IQ test to decide where you will be drafted, answer interviews and play cameos in movies. Beyond this its basically just like playing a season. They didnt put very much time into that new aspect. Other than this it is just another episode of the Madden series. Which is good because i'm hooked on it. Good to see Madden improved upon the dreadful 2005 game. Go out and buy it but you might want to rent it first because not everyone likes it 4 stars (comparsion to other games) - Madden 2006 is by far the best football game yet to be released. The new features blow the old versions out of the water. The game is now more realistic and fun with the addition of QB passer vision, and the NFL superstar mode. The ability of being able to sprint with the QB behind the line of scrimmage now is now a feature making the game run more smoothly as well. The addition of QB passer vision, which is the line of sight the QB can see, was a great idea since it adds mor...

PS2 Rachet Deadlocked

5 stars (nice acorrding to the shows showing it.) - the ratchet and clank games may be for teens but im 11 so... who cares i have all 3 and beat all of them im a (genuis)but ever since this one came out, eyes came to mind!! i had to get this game but i dont have it yet ever since i heard about this game and the other 2 jak x and sly 3 i studied all of them and made sure that when i get them they will be great as i saw them on tv (nice)and good for my awesome gaming skills but even if i dont have the game i can still picture it in my head with me playing it, i give it a 4 out of 5. 5 stars (4 is more) - i have all four ratchet and clank games and i have beaten three of them including this one there all fun but i couldnt beat the first one. 4 stars (its a preaty dang good game) - i only played this game for an hour and a half but i got all the way to the third world. however i am a fanatic about this sort of game so in a way i am suprised that i didnt get further. the wepons are very good, i was very impressed by the dual vipers. most of the time i dont like gladiator sort of games but this one was made so superbly well u have to be insane not to like it. the two bots that u get, "Sarge" and "Green" if i remember corectly, are absolutly hilarios. sarge is the traditional sargent, hard core and straight to the point. green is just like a new recrute, he still has nightmares about what happened to there last owner. i will stop telling u the plotline now so that u an go out and get it for ur self and figure it out. its a great game, have fun dying. ...

PS2 Harry Potter- Goblet of Fire

5 stars (THE MOST WONDERFUL GAME EVER) - If my typing is a little lagging, please forgive me, I was up all night playing "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire." Without doubt, the best game I have ever played. The graphics were so good that it was almost like being at Hogwarts. The snap-scene from the sixth book (where you get to be Snape killing Dumbledore) is the best moment of any game I've ever played, though Dumbledore is my favorite character. I was a little dissappointed that the plot of the seventh book was revealed by entrance to a hidden passage (near the portrait of the Buddhist-looking nuns on the fifth floor). It was the best thirty-second birthday present ever. I go to school in a small town in New York and all my first period studyhall teacher talked about the whole period was how good the game was and that's all everyone else has been talking about since. We're a little obsessed (this is coming from a person who has Harry Potter tattooed across his back). THE BEST GAME EVER. Buy it. Period. ...

8MB Memory Card

5 stars (Necessity) - Anyone witha PS2 has one. It's that simple. It's not exactly great because because it's annoying in the first place that the feature of memory wasnt on the PS2 in the first place. 5 stars (had problems) - If u buy gta vice city and u buy cherry poppers and u save the game there all of ur memmory card says meomory failed 5 stars (This Is As Essential As Bread And Water) - If you have a PS2 the You Absolutly need a Memory Card and this is the best one you can buy for your PS2. This is the official Memory Card, it's made by the same company who made the Playstation system. You should not be caught owning a PS2 without a memory card, it's really essential. Save your progress, high scores and you can transfar data from card to card. It might be a little expensive but it's worth it. ...

PS2 SLY 3

4 stars (boring after you beat it) - First off, I don't have this game. I dont want to get this game. I bought Sly 1 and 2. I finished both of them. The problem is, you cant do anything after you beat the game. If there was multiplayer, I wouldn't have sold those games. I'd rent it. Its worth $40 if there was multiplayer or online play 5 stars (A great Game Trilogy Overall!) - I love the new locations in this new game! You get to go to Venice, China, a pirate island, Holland, and Dr. M's island, a baboon mad scientist who is the final boss in Sly 3. My favorite boss is General Tsao, the chinese rooster who looks very cool but very hard to defeat. China is my favorite level, because it's the largest level in the game. My least favorite boss is Dr. M, because he relys on his big machine on his brain that releases fire and all that bad stuff. Dr. M's Island is my least favorite level, because you can't travel around the whole island. The only complaint I have from the game are those boring, but pretty hard 2-D computer shooter mini-games. Those are just wasting my time! Isn't there an alternative way to these 2-D shooters? Anyways, i hope there is a 4th Sly game where Sly pretends to be in love with CArmelita, but goes out theiving when she doesn't know it. This would be a great beginning for the 4th Sly game to the end of the 3rd Sly game! 5 stars (The Best Sly Yet) - Sly2 was worlds above Sly1, and Sly3 made the franchise even better. The game is extremely long, pretty challenging (especially near the end), and has replayable levels with "Master Thief" extras like beating the clock, etc. The "Master Thief" levels are very difficult, IMO and I've only been able to do a few of them, but it makes the game still fun to play. I finished it yesterday--one of the few games that I actually finish. Be prepared for an excruciating level boss run at the end. Totally worth every curse word out of my mouth :) You'll be glad you have this game. ...

MapPoint North American Maps 2004

5 stars (Great Mapping Program!) - MapPoint is an easy to use and powerful mapping program. I use it frequently for territory analysis for work and also use it for some personal reference and mapping projects. Defintely worth buying. 2 stars (Microsoft MapPoint 2004) - I purchased this product thinking that after using and enjoying MS Streets and Trips (since 2001), that this would be a step up. I was also looking for additional features that I knew were a bit weak in the Streets and Trips product. Boy, was I surprised. Not only is the product, no better than the Streets and Trips product, but the maps for small Canadian cities (ie.,populations of 35,000 to 100,000) were so out of date they were useless. Where I had hoped to use the enhanced features of MapPoint in my business, the abyssmal road maps made the product useless. I had hoped to also track the location of our deliveries to customers within the city and surrounding towns. Again, this was not possible due to the fact that the maps were at least 3 to 4 years out of date. Had I paid only $39.99 to $59.99 for the product, I may have kept it for use when I travel to the U.S., but for $400, I returned to product within the week (the very first Microsoft product I have ever been dissappointed with). MapPoint 2004 is a very, very marginal product and most definitely not worth paying $400 or even half that price, given the poor map qualities. I'm really dissappointed in Microsoft and their lack of attention to details and accuracy for Canadian towns and cities. Unless you are using it for U.S. locations only, do NOT purchase this product. Having said this, I continue to purchase a lot of Microsoft products,(I continue to use MS Streets and Trips), but this purchase proves that even Microsoft can put out a dud. 1 stars ($269 for this GARBAGE?) - I wouldn't pay $2.69 let alone $269.00!!!! for this dreadful program. It is NOT user friendly. The data mapping is worthless. This program makes Street Atl...

PS2 FIFA Soccer 2006

2 stars (a bundle of irritation) - This, more even than its predecessors, is a lazy game that swaps challenge for mere irritation. Players will run off in all directions without reason, and stop, pause, and turn the wrong way to miss key passes or interceptions; will take ten yards (no joke) to stop from a run; will simply ignore a clear pass to an open player, and substitute a silly pass to a distant player on the opposite side of the pitch; and a through-ball, if too good, will magically speed up halfway through (no joke), in order to get to the keeper before an onrushing forward. In other words, EA couldn't be bothered to develop a clever game - instead, in order to make it competitive, they made it arbitrary, disingenuous, and utterly stupid. 4 stars (Best Footie Game Ever!) - By far the best ever. Played Winning Eleven 8 last year and enjoyed it but this is much better. It has everything you would want and more. Easy to learn but difficult to master, FIFA06 appeals to gamers at every skill level. The online account sign-up is pretty painful when done through the PS2. If you need to sign up for a new account, it's much easier to go to easports.com and do it directly from their website. A must-have for every gamer's library! PROS: + Smooth graphics + Realistic gameplay + Challenge System: 104 Built-In! + Responsive, pressure-sensitive controls + Exclusive Licenses + Supports up to 8 players with 2 multi-taps. + Game Depth: 1st & 2nd divisions in some leagues, Team Chemistry, Performance Meter, Player Styles, etc. CONS: + More an EA Sports problem but online gaming could be better. $2 fee or subject yourself to promotions. Hard to sign up through the console (easy if done on website). OK, enough typing, I'm gonna go play again. ;P 4 stars (Better, but still not as goosd as WE/PES) - I have been bying FIFA since 2002, and by farthis is the best one of them. But still, it is missing the realistic ball control and the really good way of difinition WE/PES have. The...

PS2 The Matrix- Path of Neo

2 stars (Major Disappointment) - "The Matrix" has been great entertainment for years: I love the film trilogy, I enjoyed the companion tales of "The Animatrix", but more relevant I enjoyed the "Enter The Matrix" video game (it's a 4 out of 5). So when I popped in this disc, and eagerly awaited the next installment in this iconic world...I was stunned! CONCEPT Players will assume the role of Neo for the entire film trilogy. Half of the game revolves around key sequences (Morpheus' rescue, or Neo vs. Agent Smith). The other half includes portions that add to the overall story. For example, 5 short tales are about Neo freeing the minds of The Matri'xs inhabitants. Gamers can improve Neo's abilities and powers as they progress through a simple upgrade system. GRAPHICS / ANIMATION ---The game looks solid enough, but the character models aren't very smooth and look a little blocky. The environments are nicely detailed, but there isn't much interaction with them. The martial arts combat 'looks' smooth, but collision detection has some serious issues. The walls are destructible, but the character models don't react correctly to their surroundings. Try to imagine a dark, gritty, and unclean "Jade Empire", and you get the right idea. SOUND ---The music doesn't stand out very much; in fact, it often becomes silent in the middle of cutscenes. The voice-acting isn't great, but rarely is bad. The only sore spots are actually when different actors quote the movies' lines. What's really strange is that when players use the Focus ability, the sound becomes muted and muffled. It's a really annoying experience. The guns sound fine, but don't have much of a punch to them. The martial arts attacks sound good, but also lack much emphasis to get one's blood racing. PRESENTATION ---This is the part that ticks me off the most. "Enter The Matrix" seamlessly interweaved "The Matrix Reloaded" footage with original cutscenes to create a good story. In "Path of Neo", the act...

PS2 Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2006

2 stars (EA just doesn't care.) - This game is an embarassment. I've been playing the Tiger Woods PGA Tour series since 2002 and have been a huge fan of it up until now. The newest version is the buggiest yet, with all sorts of visual and audio glitches present throughout the game. They also, for some reason, removed the ability to skip celebration animations for the golfers from this version, forcing you to sit through the same ones over and over and over again until you want to smash your putter through your television. As far as gameplay is concerned, few changes have been made, and they are mostly for the worse. It now takes FOREVER to level up your golfer in single-player mode due to the game's new points system. This wouldn't be so bad if playing the game didn't seem like such a chore in the first place. Another change they've made is to the putting. They attempted to make it harder by turning it into an analog swing, but ended up making it ridiculously easy with the "ideal putt" camera. Once you master it, rare is the occasion that it will actually take you more than one putt to get the ball in the hole. Overall, one gets the impression playing this game that EA Sports just doesn't care about quality anymore. They just seem to throw in a few new "features" that worsen the gameplay, let a few more bugs slip through the cracks, and then have the gall to release this year's latest edition at full price. I, for one, am done with this series. 1 stars (Don't waste the money!!) - I have been a major fan of all the EA Sports PS2 Tiger Woods golf games- until now. What the hell is going on! I can describe this new incarnation for the 2006 season very easily, crap, crap, CRAP!!! I should have listened to other reviews that supported my opinion before I wasted $50.00 for this, but like many of you I want to see things for myself, so I bought it. My biggest complaint was in the degredation of the graphics. Last years 2005 version was great. Now the graphics l...

PS2 We Love Katamari

1 stars (God Bless Tommy Tallarico For Speaking The Truth) - This game sucks i hate it thats all i have to say may the force be with you all. (except you guys who dont see my reviews helpfull) 5 stars (a sense of humor that defies words, simple oh-so-fun gameplay) - We Love Katamari is a game with an identity disorder. Many times during the game, it calls itself Katamari Damacy, even though that was the name of its predecessor. But that's okay, that's just one of the many many little strange, funny, quirky, incredibly fun things about this game. So do I like this game? Let's just say, over the past month, since I got this game, it is the ONLY game I have played. That is very, very rare for me to only play one game. Enough said, this game is worth well more than the $30 you pay. 5 stars (How could you NOT love Katamari?) - Over the years, Japan has given us some really great rolled things. Sushi. Legendary scrolls. Pocky brand cookies. Uh, m... marijuana. From Japan. And believe me, the people who created this thing were on a lot of it. In keeping with the great Japanese rolling-things tradition, we are given 'We Love Katamari!', the sequel to 'Katamari Damacy', by the land of the Rising Sun, a game in which you roll a giant sticky ball over stuff and try to make it bigger! I won't mince words with you people: This game is insane. The cutscenes which serve to forward the already slightly incomprehensible story are completely nuts, the soundtrack is giddy and crazy, and the concept... well, you get to roll a ball around and pick up stuff with it. Not exactly 'Asteroids', this game. But I suppose even 'Asteroids' was considered odd in its heyday, and hey, that's why we now consider it great. The thing that makes those classic games really fun are their simple structure, which progressively becomes more difficult as time wears on. And I'd like to think that the 'Katamari' series is an effective attempt at recapturing that simple playability of the early video ...

PS2 NBA Live 2006

3 stars (Defect in Dynasty Mode) - I have noticed a major defect in Dynasty Mode. After about the 4 game of the season, the game no longer keeps the correct score. Score freezes after several baskets are made and then picks up later in the game. Bizarre. Also, the refere AI on last second shot 7/10 times always counts the basket. Graphics look great. I will buy this on Xbox 360 when it comes out in two weeks. Hopefully, that game doesnt have these problems. 5 stars (One of the best games out) - This is one of the best nba games out highly recommended 3 stars (Live 06) - Although NBA Live is always fun to play and it has really nice dunks and things I'm going to have to judge this on its improvement on the last installment. The good improvements are that you can now run the fastbreak instead of having to settle with the half court set all the time. The 2nd is the Freestyle mode which I found annoying sometimes though because a player's rating is basically based on how good he is at a certain aspect of the game. FOr instance Josh SMith is crazy just because he can dunk it with the best but his overall game is not that good. It is very hard to stop someone defensively when they press L1 and then just press Circle and the basically have an easy basket. A Scorer Freestyle would just means that a player would do an assortment of layups and fancy manuevers to get the ball in the hole. ALthough I have to admit it is fun on the O end. Another thing that bothers me is that it doesnt have the full aspect of the NBA game in it. In this you justpass it down low to Yao Ming or someone and watch him Iso his defender then just dunk it and that goes on about 10-20 times a game but in the NBA that would only happen 1-5 times. In the NBA they would try to find the open man for the shot but in Live it doesnt matter if your open if your big and if you can dunk. If your caught up with proper gameplay and things I suggest you go out and buy 2K6 because that is much better in that asp...

PS2 James Bond 007- From Russia with Love

5 stars (Finally - A James Bond Love Rush) - Oh my goodness! A 007 game worth the money and all of the hype. Lets face it, since Goldeneye for Nintendo 64, only Nightfire and No One Lives Forever were decent follow-ups. The others were total garbage. I've only played the first four missions, but everything seems to be in order for a fun adventure. The controls are easy to learn and the graphics are good. It's nice to play as Sean Connery since Pierce is no longer Bond. I like the fact that it'll save throughout different points in a mission, so you don't have to totally redo them from the beginning if you should happen to die. I wish you could retrace your steps back to a previous section to pick up needed armor in case you go into it less than 100%. The driving takes a little getting used to since it's very sensitive. I also like the ability to upgrade your weapons by earning bonus points by performing Bond moves. Since the game is a direct adaptation from the movie, it makes you want to go out and rent it. Since they've hired an unattractive (nice way of saying downright ugly) actor to play as the next Bond, I'm not sure if I'd want to see his face on anything other than the cover for an Extreme Makeover. This Bond will have to go celebate. Kudos to Electronic Arts! You did the 007 franchise justice. 1 stars (Release 'From Russia With Love' in PC format !!!) - As a tremendous James Bond fan, I'm disappointed this isn't released as a PC game. Considering it's based on From Russia With Love, a classic (i.e. older) Bond movie, EA Games may want to consider that their prospective market is also older, and more likely to have a PC than an Xbox, Game Cube or PS2. 5 stars (Classic Bond) - As a lifelong Bond fan, especially the classic films, this game is a real treat. Following in the footsteps of 'Everything or Nothing' this title allows you enter the world of James Bond as the original Bond, Sean Connery. The graphics, gameplay and overall feel of '...

PS2 X-Men Legends 2- ROA

4 stars (Great Improvements in the game) - When videogame sequels are released, gamers often wonder how it contrasts the original in the series. After numerous hours of game play with the first X-men Legends game and careful review of X-men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse, gamers are going to get the same mutant bashing, level destroying fun of the first game with a considerable amount of improvements. Compared to the first X-men legends game, the second in the series has many upgrades. First of all, the unexpected alliance of the X-men and Brotherhood members allows players to assume the role of not only the goody, goody X-men characters we all love, but also the malicious members who make up the brotherhood. Mutants such as Magneto, Juggernaut, Scarlet Witch, Sunfire, and Toad are suiting up to stop the evil that perils them. In addition to adding some powerful new characters - and weeding out the weaker ones - Each character has a much larger array of skill up grades. In fact, more than double the amount of usable skills can be found for each character, as well as more passive skills, resulting in more ways to customize each of your mutants. The introduction of acts in this installment is a huge improvement. Unlike the first game where players are forced to follow the storyline unable to return to the areas they have previously visited, Rise of Apocalypse takes players through five acts, which can be revisited at any time. This also allows there to be more hidden areas and items to be found, since players can revisit any area. New secret objects include data discs (increases the number of potions held) and tech stations (increases one of a characters four primary statistics), along with the old secret findables danger room discs, comic books, and sketchbooks. The environments have improved and players are taken from the land of Genosha, to New York City, and even through the great pyramids in Egypt. In each of these lands players can find an abundance of...

DDR Max 2- Dance Dance Revolution

5 stars (Fantastic game, beyond fun) - I played DDR one night with four of my DDR freak friends and I really loved it. Two of those friends use the game as their own personal workout system, with some good results. After research, I bought DDR Max 2 and some ignition 4.0 dancepads. The gameplay is exhilarating. I started playing with my controller and dancing along because I couldn't wait to play. With or without the dancepad is fine, but it's more fun with the dance pad. Playing just to unlock all the songs and endless mode is addicting, I almost didn't want to leave my room except for food, bathroom and water breaks. The graphics are great, with video in the background and the dancers it's enough to get distracted but it's welcome because it's like being at a real club with video screens. The music varies slightly. There's mostly techno/trance/house songs, with some pop and r&b and soul thrown in. I knew most of the songs before I bought the game because there are a lot of dance hits and classics and there are some songs from the other DDR games on here. You're guaranteed to find something listenable, even if the songs are extremely cheesy ones. Be sure to contact your doctor if you can't stand much stress on your feet if you want to use a dancepad. 4 stars (More options then max and better songs then extreme,) - but extreme 2 has it beet in both. 5 stars (Can't stop the beat!) - Dance Dance Revolution (DDR) Max 2 has the potential to stay the very best party game for a long time to come. With so many things to discover, unlock, and plenty of songs to choose from, this game will never get old (unless your dance pad ceases to work). Mastering the beginner level is hard enough, but to venture to higher places on the DDR scale gives you quite a sweat and will be hard for any dance master and newbie alike. Songs vary, but mostly stay in the techno and disco range- the hardest yet most fun gameplay tht has ever been discovered. However, a few pop songs are on the p...

PS2 DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi

5 stars (Best DBZ game ever!!!! Even better than Budokai 3!!!!!!!!!!!) - When I got this game for my birthday I was so amazed how they try to give you a close and similar fighting expereance of the show. And they did a good job. The areas are as big as a level as on the failure game DBZ Sagas which was the most slow past and the worst DBZ game ever. But this game and Budokai 3 are the best DBZ games in the market. The thing that makes Tenkaichi better than Budokai 3 is its more like the show fighting style and everything and has almost everything in the sagas except for the Shadow Dragon saga and The Lost Episodes saga and the Garlic Jr. saga but besides that. This is a really good game it has the whole Ginyu force and has Bojack,Janenba,Super 17,Baby Vegeta,Evil Buu,Master Roshi,General Poa. It's missing Omega Shenron and Uub but thats it. Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi is a game I recomened to all die-hard DBZ and some Anime fans such as myself. This game is so cool. Keep up the good work Atari and Bandai. 3 stars (Not bad, but could have been better.) - This game I think was kind of a let down. The graphics and storyline are cool, and there are WAY more characters than the previous Budokai games. My main issues with the game are how terrible the camera can be. I had a few times where I got trapped in a corner or something and I couldn't see myself at all. Also, if you move past a tree or something, it blocks your view of your character, which can be very annoying if you are in a difficult fight. Also, there wasn't much of a storyline, it was really just a bunch of fight sequences. One thing I really didn't like was the inability to upgrade your moves and have multiple super moves. The character graphis are the best they have ever been, but the supermoves, which are supposed to be devastating and awsomely explosive are actually kind of puny in animation. The most they do is turn the screen white which can be very annoying if you are fighting a particularly fast c...

PS2 The Sims 2

4 stars (stands on its own two feet) - As someone who recently purchased the Sims 2 on Amazon, and has played it and some of the older PC and console versions, I have to say I think this game is pretty darn good. I recognize that in comparison to Sims 2 for PC, it has some limitations- but what else could you expect? Consoles ARE limited, but considering the game was originally designed for a completely different medium, I think it is very successful it its own right, and frankly, a lot of fun to play. The game playing is far more textured and rich than "Bustin' Out" or "The Urbz". First of all, the creation of a greater motivating force, whether creative, social, etc., adds a whole new dimension to Sims and their relationships. Whereas in the past, a series of actions always created the same result, now players will find that their Sims, no matter how 'correctly' guided, will be rejected by loved ones, paint horrible portraits, or make inedible meals that make other Sims grumpy. Conversely, you may find your Sim succeeding easily or becoming popular with hardly any effort. Such is the nature of Sims 2. I have never been a Sims player that found the fashion, decorating, or building aspects of the game to be tantamount to goal-achieving, but the new game has more objects with lots of different interactions, a clothes option menu that is sure to absorb hours of your attention, and plenty of new building options. I could see how building houses or changing clothes endlessly would lead to some repeats, but achieving success for your Sim will definitely prove interesting enough to make up for it. I think, overall, this game is worth the price tag. Diehard Simmers who scrutinize every aspect of the game, and compare it to the PC version, are bound to be a little disappointed. But as someone who eagerly anticipated the arrival of the Sims 2 for Ps2 (meaning, was on the waiting list for a month!), I can say with total enthusiasm that this is a game you, your kids, or you...

PS2 Burnout Revenge

5 stars ( PS2 Burnout Revenge ) - I bought this game for my grandson. He is 9 years old. He enjoys this game very much. 4 stars (Different...which can be good or bad.) - I LOVED Burnout 3. So when I heard that they were making Burnout Revenge I was extremely excited. After months of anticipation I finally got a chance to play BR hoping it would bring the same hours of vehicular mayhem as Burnout 3. It turned out that what BR offered was a few changes for the better and a few that I don't really like. First I'll talk about the good stuff. The graphics are beautiful! I didn't think they could do much better than B3 but they have. They tracks are insanely complicated with shortcuts and alternate paths everywhere. This really makes it so that the tracks never get too old because you can always find new ways to drive. The crash junctions are also incredibly laid out. Most of them require catching huge air and landing in or near a busy intersection. Most of them also have two or three different levels of highway so when you explode you can manuver your car to fall on the unsuspecting drivers below. The new traffic checking feature gives kind of mixed results for me. On the one hand it is great to plow into a van from behind and send it flying into your opponent but on the other hand it kind of takes away from the twitch racing where you had to be on your gaurd and have quick reflexes. When the subtitle to BR is Battle Racing Ignited you can tell its going to focus more on the battling aspect. I think that the traffic checking does just that, giving you yet another way to take our your opponent. Now for things things I'm not too crazy about. You can't do a single event like in B3. Some days I just wanna come home and take out my agression with some road rage but now I have to go into the world tour and find a road rage event instead of simply choosing a single event from the title screen. Thats just a little frustrating and something I can learn to deal w...
