3 stars (Some good ideas, but not the best.) - This is a good book, but it is not one of the best. Get copies of Kotter, Schein, Beitler, or Collins' books. 5 stars (An Excellent How To Guide on Managing/Creating Change.) - I found the book to be extremely informative. Douglas Smith has done a masterfull job of creating a step by step guide for the process of both Creating and Managing Change in any organization. He also points out why many Change Efforts fail. The 10 step guide that he has created should help us all avoid the common pitfalls of this process and help greatly improve our odds of success. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is either thinking about starting a change effort or currently in the midst of one now. 5 stars (The best hand-on book about Change Management available.) - This is clearly the best book about the practical side of Change Management I've read so far (and I've read more then 20 by now). This book really helps me in my day-to-day work as a Change Manager. Smith has closed a big gap in the Change Management literature, this is the most practical book you can look for! 5 stars (Beth Moore is always excellent) - I really can't explain how helpful Beth Moore's workbook studies have been in my life. They've helped me to find a discipline with God that I never had before. I've learned so much about the Bible, and more specifically, about the real, true, loving God who cares so much for me and for you. If you're at all considering this study, please try it. I think you'll like it. Beth Moore seems to really try hard to keep her studies accurate, relevant, meaningful, and NOT shallow. They're as deep as you want to go with them. They're not fluffy stuff, they're studies that honor God and the women who love Him by assuming that you have a brain, that you love God, and that you want to be closer to Him, and frankly, that you're human with human weaknesses. Beth understands women, because she doesn't seem to be afraid to really be a real woman after God's own heart. 5 stars (Awesome study of Paul's life journey to Live in Christ) - What an awesome, in-depth look at the life of Paul! Beth Moore has obviously studied scripture with a prayerful heart to allow God to reveal this study through her. I have been challenged and enlightened through her words. 5 stars (Extraordinary book) - Peopleware is a book that needs to be read by ALL people related to software development; not just managers and developers. It has created plenty of debate between people in my company because of the 'saving on space' issue; also, some people from my company doesn't yet understand why a developer cannot be treated like a soldier (strict regime); this book helps out to understand such issues (and much more!). Also it has been written in a pleasant and fast way to read. ??Excellent piece of work! The remaining only issue: It doesn't talk anything about the process of selling. Eventhough it's not a 'Sellingware' book, I think it deserves one chapter, just to create a link with the people that are in charge of generating money to support the 100 square feet that each programmer needs. 5 stars (A must read for any Manager.) - This a great book. You will learn without knowing you learned. Stop wasting time reading reviews. 1 stars (Cumbersome to Use) - I used this book for my second course in fluid mechanics, and I thought it was terrible. THe chapters are not organized very well, the example problems aren't presented effectively, and this problems at the ned of the chapter are not well written, as well as this book contains many errors. I don't reccommend this text to other students; I would use Munson&Okishi 's text for undergrads. 1 stars (Worst display of quality control I've ever seen) - I have never purchased a product of any kind in my life with a quality control as low as this textbook demonstrated. I believe the publishers owe ever student who has ever purchased this book a full return. Unfortunately there is a limited way for students to avoid purchasing this text if your proffesor intends to use it. I strongly recommend lecturers do not choose this text as it will force your students to throw more than a hundred dollars down the drain, and to add further insult to injury, your students performance will decrease. I know persons who are now less conversent in the subject of fluids for having read and used this text. If the publishers had even had their children check the text for mistakes they would have ended up with a better product. If publishers are smart enought to read these reviews I suggest to you that you get a real editor to go through the entire text and solutions manual with a fine tooth comb and release a sixth edition afterwards. I feel extremely sorry for any student who has to learn fluids for the first time from this text. 2 stars (AVOID THIS BOOK IF AT ALL POSSIBLE!!!!) - Please do yourself a favor and avoid this book. This is the fourth edition and perhaps the worst introduction to fluid mechanics book ever printed. I am a PhD student and have had many courses in fluids. This book is riddled with errors and mistakes. The theory is correct but the derivations of certain equations and the solutions to many, many, many problems are wrong! I cannot believ...
